2020 World Water day

The quality of every youth today is been determined by the standard of living of every child yesterday, we can’t keep fighting for a better future if we fail to act positively and life will always give us in return what we give. This is to say; we should not expect to plant rice expecting to harvest beans and neither will our politicians in Africa train youths as thugs or criminals for election purposes then expect them to become regular citizen after electing them to office.
That is why at this point in my life I will have to say that western civilization, the religions that came with the civilization, African people being not able to balance traditional believes and religious worshipping of the African people. Innermost nature revealing its true identity because when a country faces recession, this should be a time to reflect on what are the things it fails to do right or cutting down excess spending and managing it's little it has got left. Introducing policies that would unite with its citizen's but not dividing them because naturally recession divides family, friends, neighbor’s, bringing out the animalistic nature in people, turning traditional priest to a blood money ritual priest and all of this should not be so.
It high time the leaders of Africa takes the bull by the horns because the future of Africa is collapsing if we don't introduce radical policies to withstand what we stand for as a continent, must especially that of Nigeria, a country that immorality is increasing by the day, a society that youth and children is been adopted by terrorist and religion extremist, a society that young girls are being molested and raped on a regular basis but the good people of Nigeria keeps forgetting that the government cannot do everything that the Nigerian people themselves are the government.
Youth are the leaders of every society and a wasted youth is equal to a single wasted generation that is why I cry internally when I see youths being rotting away by the help of hard drugs and also being used and abandoned by wicked and evil politicians. That is why one of the key solutions to Nigerians problem is the establishment of an environmental academy that will be located in the six Geo-political zones of Nigeria. where abandoned kids, homeless children and wasted youth is being picked up off the street and then sent to this establishment where they would be trained for  environmental needs in the area of cleaning, moral values, craftsmanship, agricultural needs, traditional pharmacist that would know the use of trees and leaf, being disciplined as enforced agents  and machinery’s for natural disasters relief.
As I drink a class of water to life, believe me, potable water is the only liquid mineral that brings life to the human body and here I say Happy 2020 world water day.
Weather is generally determined according to four seasons in northern hemisphere: spring, summer, fall and winter, but in many African countries, however, the year is divided into rainy and dry season but area in west part of Africa has got two rainy season, one lasting from the end of April to mid-july and another shorter one in September and October but in west part of Africa rains are typically brief and heavy, rarely lasting longer than a few hours, so will one say African’s are not blessed with a good weather season and the reason why introducing harvesting of rain should be mandatory adopted as a sustainable way to make use and also to retain water because rain water harvest itself can be traced back to the Neolithic Age, when waterproof lime plaster cisters were built in the floors of houses in villages, a large area in South west Asia, South of the Taurus mountains, bound by the Mediterranean sea in the west, the Arabian desert in the South and a number of Canadian law since the mid-2000s which has increased the use of this technology and making India-tamil nadu the first state to make rainwater harvesting compulsory for every building so that to avoid groundwater depletion however rainwater harvesting as been proven to have its own independent water supply during regional water restrictions and it's often used to supplement the main water supply, providing water when a drought occurs, helping mitigation flooding of low-lying areas, most importantly reducing demand on wells which may enable groundwater levels to be sustainable but above all rainwater harvesting system in urban water supply as been proven to provide a substantial benefit for both water supply and waste water subsystems, reducing the need for drilling wells or having a borehole distribution systems, also helping in the reduction of stormwater runoff pollution to freshwater bodies, but if we are to look at how quality rainwater harvesting can be appropriate in terms of safety and how this method provide low-cost disinfection options for drinking purpose, we would begin to see that rain water itself can be suitable for drinking only by making the water pass true a simple water level one filter system and then boiling it after because rainwater is a clean source of water often better that groundwater or water from rivers or lakes but the process of collecting and storing often leave this water polluted and non-potable. Rain water harvested from roofs can contain human, animal and bird feces, mosses and lichens, windblown dust, particularly from urban pollution, pesticides, and inorganic from sea and dissolved gases, but apart from this rainwater naturally stands out and also making this harvesting technic be one of the solutions to the reoccurring drought and flooding disaster all across Africa.
Who knows if the establishment of an environmental academy and also redeploying 50% of NYSC core members to this establishment, maybe the true purpose of NYSC would become visible and also help in solving various SDG’s all across Africa?
Don’t get me Wrong, I am not trying to say that the establishment of an environmental academy will take away this young youth fundamental human rights of having a free life but the question will then remain freedom to an extinction of the African race because a sickness that affect a poor man will also affect a rich man.

Just food for thought.

Happy 2019 world water day

It was rightly said that necessity is always the mother of all inventions and creativity is the father of all civilization and for a nation to grow into becoming a great nation it must learn the act to invent and also to create but most nation of this present time and age fail because of discrimination, thereby making such nation not to practice the act to love other smaller nations which eventually brings and gives room for their actions and ways of life to begin to fear the unknown.
But according to the African traditions, it is mandatory for a king to practice not just one single religion this is because love for one line of worship depending on the way you look at this only brings and gives room for discrimination and not giving room for the right sense of judgment and even every earthly king knows that misjudgment is a sin to the creator of the heaven and earth the master of the universe, the KING of yesterday, today and forevermore and He also knows that no one is entitled to inflict pain on others by his wrong decisions.
Maybe that was why Solomon recorded in the holy books, he asked God for wisdom to rule his people because he knew that wisdom is the only instrument one can use in conquering any obstacle in life and he will not still go astray from making the right presidential decision, because as a king, various kind of people will come for different reasons even witches, wizard and even smaller gods will come for the structure and how the king's kingdom will not affect their own people and followers.
Before I proceed, I would love to refresh myself with a glass of clean fresh water; believe me, potable water is the only liquid mineral that brings life to the human body and here I say Happy 2019 world water day.
Africans are bless in so many ways beyond what Africans can compare, but one of the major problem most of them are facing is not believing in them self, lack of contentment and not loving one another which has created a vacuum of hatred that has transform rebels into freedom fighters and a freedom fighter into a rebel, celebrating criminals instead of heroes and an internet fraud star viewing his future becoming brighter than a degree holders, masters or even a doctorate and all this can be found in this present day and age and this should not be so.
Nigeria is one of the problems of Africa because if Nigeria can get it right every other smaller countries in the Africa continent will naturally follow its lead because this will transform stability to the west African region and maybe youths in this region will not have to see the need of risking their life's on desert road to country like Libya or selling them self for other nation economic war but all this can be totally abolished, youths sees such ventures as something to be buried but this can be achieved by only creating a conducive environment and this goes way beyond just discriminating one another, fighting or praying and looking for another man's downfall. It is by achieving a system that works and ways to make things work but who knows if Nigeria's major financial resources should be concentrated on electric energy, maybe things would change for good.
That is why my write up for this year 2019 after my two years natural compulsory break will be on a renovating invention which is been used worldwide and this invention is a water desalination and power desalination plant and how this renovating invention partnership could tune out because there are currently around 15000 desalination plant world wide according to international renewable energy agency and most use either membranes, high-temperature evaporation techniques or low-temperature desalination plants (LTD) plants but LTD plants are still rare and process uses more energy than is necessary to desalinate water but regardless of which method is determined to be the most energy efficient, water desalination and power desalination is the future of water and the game changer of the way we drink water and power cities around such plants that is why I will be given a brief explanation on how water desalination and power desalination works.
Water desalination is the process of which salty ocean water or unclean river water is been process for domestic and industrial use and power desalination plant is a innovative solution that is been run on a gas turbine power system that also supply electricity to the water desalination plant and it also helps in the supply of electric power to provide stable power supply around itself but above all the illustration of the schematic of the combined power-desalination system for simultaneous generation for electric power and fresh water, the power generation cycle includes boiler, steam turbine that produces the electric energy and the thermal energy, but all part of cogeneration system are always modeled and simulated to evaluate performance of the combined systems, making this renovating invention to be adopted by countries in the middle east and country in southern Africa and east part of Africa to consider picking up the investment plan of constructing a better water desalination system than that of Algeria, nations like Israel to rely heavily on water desalination as it's source of clean water and also country like U.A.E to still keep dreaming of investing more in the combination of water and power desalination plants, embracing the system of one stone killing two birds, working side-by-side power and water desalination plant , working together to efficiently utilize resources and creating potable water and also powering it city's, a kind of system that is useful for places that are in need of power but don't have access to clean water, open to future cheaper invention where thermal desalination or simplify ways to generate electric power where water and power would have to be located separately. But on the other hand, the cost that is required to set up such plants are a bit on the high side, but regardless the cost renewable hydropower generated from desalination plant would bring economic and environmental benefits to our developing cities in Africa because relying on hydropower dams for major electricity supply would not end the scarcity of electric power or heavy cost of extra mitigation measures such as building new dams but also having in mind that water desalination without a power desalination to me is a wasteful funding project in Africa because electric energy to run the water desalination without constant power supply is the problem and running plants on fuel creates more green house gas, which contribute to  environmental problem at the long run.
Please don't get me wrong. Construction of hydropower dams are good because it would help greatly for the federal agricultural projects but power and water desalination plant would help to actualize a sustaining restructure system that every states would be self dependent regardless its location, that it would also be able to power it self from darkness and also uniformly create job opportunities.
But above all WHO KNOWS if every water works in every major state is been upgraded to a power and water desalination system that its water intake will not necessary have to be concentrated sea water but lightly salty water or unclean river that it would use less energy and produce less brine.
And WHO KNOWS if every major polytechnic would be upgraded to an advanced technology institute that all it major staffs would be professionals that will accommodate, monitor and produce workers that would eventually work and manage this project, maybe all of this will end poverty, eliminate darkness in every house hold, generate financial income for every location, help in actualizing the dream of the association of borehole drillers of Nigeria (BODE) in totally ending unprofessional in drilling of water wells, help in solving security problems and it may also end the way the youth look at themselves as a lazy and wasted generation because it was rightly said that opportunity is the only antidote to poverty and I strongly believe that electricity and an advanced technological institutes is the opportunity Africans really need.

Just food for thought!!!

2016 WORLD WATER DAY

2016 WORLD WATER DAY

Water is one of the natural resources that is indispensable, the availability of clean water is vital to the good health and existence of mankind. We are thankful to the Master of the universe for the availability of diverse sources of water. God, our awesome creator saw the great significance in the creation of light and separation of the water as key elements in the maintenance of the earth because without light, there would be no evaporation, and it will be impossible for water-vapor to evaporate into the colder layer of the atmosphere, where it condenses and falls back to the earth. The condensed water that falls into seas, lakes, and rivers percolate via the soil where some end uplogged in permeable rocks.
Before I proceed, I would love to refresh myself with a glass of clean fresh water; believe me, potable water is the only liquid mineral that brings life to the human body and here I say Happy 2016 .
If wishes were horses, I wish the world could go back to the beginning and have a different approach to the general usage and maintenance of the earth. However, time is like a river that flows without looking back and returns with a different water current.
In the year 1781, water, a "liquid mineral" was first discovered by Henry Cavendish, he described water as a liquid mineral that consist of two volumes of hydrogen combined with one volume of oxygen. Cavendish synthesized water in a eudiometer that indicated the formula H2O. Researchers and scientists are still undergoing research on this liquid substance, even going as far as trying to prove if water has a memory. Considering the view that every drop of water has been drunk and used by someone else, maybe several times over, if the theory of water having a memory can be proved, this would give solutions to unanswered questions.
For this 2016 Water Day, I would be discussing about why domestic usage of water needs treatment, treatment principles and possible dangers of taking contaminated water.
You might be wondering if there is any such thing as ‘pure water’ in this present day and age where ground water are sometimes cleaner and purer than surface water. This phenomenon is due to the presence of millions of microorganisms that are virtually always found in lakes and rivers. Natural water has been found to contain some dissolved gases and minerals. Ground water quality is influenced by the chemical make-up of geological formations in which they occur. Also the length of time that it must have been underground influences its quality.
There are three general categories in describing water quality which include physical, biological and chemical properties.
Physical properties come first when determining water quality. It is determined by test, odor, turbidity and color. Biological properties of water are determined by the type and number of microorganisms present. It is important to note that when water has a certain taste, odor or turbidity, bacteria are most likely to be responsible. Chemical properties of water are the final step in determining water quality. It is determined by the type and amount of dissolved substances present in water. Such substances may include iron, magnesium, sodium, bicarbonate, silica, sulfate, chloride, nitrate, fluoride and other dissolved mineral substances that may be present depending on local conditions.
So many factors contribute to the occurrence of chemicals in water, some of these factors dates back to the beginning of creation where the first weathering and soil leaching took place followed by others. Man-made causes such as the regular disposal of industrial wastes, chemical fertilizers, petroleum products etc. also contribute to the occurrence of chemicals in water.
So how can you treat your water source if it looks or tastes compromised?
It is important to collect water samples from different sources so that it can be analyzed by a recognized water laboratory. However, some natural water sources especially that from springs, deep wells and clean rivers are most likely drinkable or potable without treatment, but large domestic water supplies from springs, deep wells and clean rivers requires purification in a storage tank prior to being used domestically. Once it has been proven by the water sample test result that a particular source of water needs treatment, the chief processes for treatment that can be employed are sedimentation, coagulation and filtration but sterilization and partial water-softening are also often regarded as desirable.
I would give a brief explanation on how the treatment processes work; sedimentation allows the settling down of fine sand and mud, this is followed by coagulation in which organic matter is precipitated by the addition of carefully regulated amounts of aluminium sulphate or other suitable reagents. The flocculent precipitate traps microscopic impurities, including many bacteria but leaves the water cloudy. The cloudy water is then passed through a series of filter-beds containing clean sand pebbles, finally the water is sterilized. This can be done with ozone, exposure to ultra-violet rays, addition of minute traces of chlorine (which is fatal to bacteria), or simply considering the purification of water using reverse osmosis filter system which doesn’t require the application of chemicals before the water comes out clean and drinkable.
Without a detailed water sample test, it would be difficult for a water engineer to construct the appropriate water treatment system because the water sample test is the key to having a suitable water treatment system. The domestic utilization of untreated or poorly treated water can be very fatal, the possible hazards associated with contaminated water varies from excess amount of bacteria, fungi, and viruses to the presence of inorganic or organic compounds that contributes to the different contaminants in the water. The domestic utilization of contaminated water may lead to diverse health challenges such as: gastrointestinal illnesses, cholera, shigellosis, tuberculosis, typhoid, infectious hepatitis, nervous system impairments, birth defects, blue-baby syndrome, and spontaneous abortions in humans amongst many others.
Regardless of how scary the possible hazards may sound, knowledge is power, if in doubt, find a professional!

2015 WORLD WATER DAY

The health code God gave the nation of Israel through Moses was actually centuries ahead of its time, it was written at the time when there was no knowledge of bacteria or viruses such as we have today.
It was writing when physicians in supposedly advance nations such as Egypt actually use unsanitary things like human excrement in their treatment.
God saw human waste as something unclean, something to be buried away.
This protected the water supply and shielded the Israelites from fly bone diseases and diseases such as salmonella, shigellosis, typhoid and dysentery. This same law required Israelites to bath themselves and that people with contagious disease be quarantined.
Before I proceed I would love to drink a glass of clean fresh water because believe me clean fresh water is life.

HAPPY CHILD, HAPPY SOCIETY

They always say children are the future of tomorrow that children serve as a keel to every existence that without children there would be no voyage into the future.

When children are borne, they come with relieve and with a warm welcome tucking in a baby language saying thank you.

Before I proceed I would like to sip my coconut fruit drink because believe me this coconut fruit drink in Lagos coastal beach must not go to waste.

Whether you find yourself being rich or finding you self being poor, everyone wishes to have kids not just for reproduction but for a continuity of a life well spent on earth.

According to the holy book, we were instructed by God to go into the world to reproduce and this also goes way back to the days of Noah.  So if reproduction was not important we would not be given instructions to reproduce and of which African’s have become expert in reproduction processes, but the question now remains on what conditions are this children been placed? Are the environments friendly for their well being?

According to Kristen Michaelis in one of her articles ‘YOUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE SUCCESSES MAY DEPEND ON BIRTH SPACING’, in this her particular article she made people to understand why they really need to space their children, that proper birth spacing can affect not only the health of a child but also that of the mother, that women are not designed to have babies in very close succession, that recommended birth spacing should be 2-3 years.

But if only African baby reproduction parent can implement this to their baby reproduction system, this would not just safe a great purpose to health challenges but this would help welcome the less privilege children to a friendlier environment and this would also help parent replace empty basic facilities.

If you would reduce the tempo of every noise the world is producing and reason with me on this, you would see why Africans need to introduce birth control polices because Africans have so many empty hole to fill, with the Ebola outbreak in some part of west Africa, starvation of food in east and central Africa and also with the mothers and newborns dying in Tanzania from a result of lack of sanitation, safe water and personal hygiene while giving birth.

It weakens me to hear story like ‘MOTHER OF SEVEN CHILDREN STILL FINDING HER SELF PREGNANT’ and also complaining about challenges of life.

Don’t get me wrong, am not saying that Africans parents should stop having babies but if only we can adopt more of the family planning system and also implement birth control polices to the way we have children.

Who knows, we may live in a better conducive environment and our children would not fall victim to various health related diseases and economy slavery. Reason being we would have prepared a warmer welcome for their arrival, because a happy child is what every society needs.

Just food for thought.

Sacred Water: myths or reality?..Volume ONE

When I was growing up as a kid, I always had that believed that the ocean was a boundary between us humans and some unknown living alien. As I grew older I began to change, seeing water for its uniqueness and how it's been used for various purposes.
As you begin to read, I hope you are with a glass of water to stabilize the body system of yours because trust me you will not regret reading to the very end.
On one faithful day in November 2013, I was in my living room watching the evening news as usual, one of the headlines was about a mysterious lake in Enugu state of Nigeria, that Nigerian pilgrims were trooping to this mysterious lake at Nauchi in Enugu state with a very strange belief that this lakes muddy water had miracle healing powers that can cure their ailments and solve all their socio-economic woes. After some days, I also read some corresponding report about this same lake; explaining how the lake was turning out to be an eye sore, that those who are bathing in the water had become an open sewer and are more likely to leave the area sicker than the way they arrived.
From that very day I began a quest for knowledge, a revelling fascinating trail to reveal the spiritual symbol to water and I also got to understand what and what a sacred water place should look like, that sacred water environment must have peace, shade, rock, trees, fruits, water flowing from a mysterious source and sacred water can also become healing water.
On this quest I ran into an interesting book titled a treasure of great spiritual stories; spirituality in everyday living by Dr Sukhraj Dhillon. In this book I read a story about Alexander in search of sacred water, a story I would love to share with every reader:

“There’s a legend that Alexander was in search of sacred water that could make people immortal. The legend goes that search for sacred water was more important to him than victory over the whole world. And the story continues that he finally found that place in which there was a fountain of sacred water. Alexander was overwhelmed to find sacred water for which he devoted his entire life. He walked into the cave and moved closer to the fountain of water to drink so that he would never die.
As he moved to take some water, he heard a crow shouting at him, “stop! Stop! Don’t make this mistake.” Alexander looked at the crow, which was in bad shape. The crow’s feathers were almost gone and its eyes could hardly open. It was in such a pitiful condition that one could hardly recognize if it was a crow. Alexander asked, “Why are you stopping me? And who are you to stop me, anyhow!”
Crow cried, “Please listen to my story. I was in search of this sacred water too. I found this place and drink this water. Now I can’t die. Look at me carefully, and then you can do whatever you decide. If you still want to go ahead, it’s your decision and drink the sacred water.
Alexander stopped for a while and thought carefully. And then he walked away out of the cave. He didn’t drink the sacred water which could have made him immortal.”

We all want to live, no one really wants to die; forgetting that death itself is a gift to life. In the world of today that people are always looking for an easy way out not giving a rethink of every action and what might be the outcome of every repercussion.
There is always a saying that “when something looks really simple, then you should approach it with caution, particularly if you have never done it before”
Alexander would have preferred living forever but he didn’t; he only peacefully walked out of that cave because he gave his future with such immortal power a rethink.
Don’t get me wrong. Healing water might exist according to beliefs, myths and culture but living a healthy life is a natural cheat, staying health and drinking healthy who knows you may out live your expectations.
    Just food for thought.
